The Microarray Facility is part of the Holstege laboratory and has been funded by the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC) since 1999 and the Academic Biomedical Cluster (ABC) since 2002. It currently develops and provides microarray technology for the UMC/ABC Genomics Center .
In the form of collaborations, the group provides standard arrays for use with human, mouse, rat and yeast, practical training courses for use and analysis of microarrays, use of equipment, as well as protocols, software and custom spotting. Members of the Microarray Facility have successfully been working with different microarray platforms since 1997 (publications). Besides providing facilities, the group aims at further improving microarray technology.
